Yet the dream of a new Alfa Romeo Duetto never quite disappeared. According to Juan Manuel Diaz, the designer credited as the "father" of the Alfa Romeo MiTo, the idea has been simmering for years. Diaz recently shared sketches (and some AI-generated renders, which we chose not to include here)—on his Instagram page, revealing five Alfa Romeos that never made it to production, including the roadster that might have become the new Duetto.
