The Mercedes-AMG GT XX Concept has written a memorable chapter in the history of electric mobility. During an endurance test in Nardò, the prototype set 25 records, including the absolute record for the distance covered in 24 hours by an electric vehicle: a remarkable 3,404 miles. The program had both a symbolic and technical goal: to cover the 24,901 miles equivalent to the Earth's circumference in less than eight days, a challenge it surpassed with a margin and an average speed close to 186 miles per hour. The technology is based on the new AMG.EA platform, featuring three compact and powerful axial motors and a direct-cooling battery capable of handling ultra-fast 850 kilowatt charges. This testing ground involved two vehicles and an international team of drivers and technicians, demonstrating the superiority of AMG solutions in terms of power, endurance, and charging speed. This is a concrete preview of the electric sportiness of the future.
