The first electric Ferrari will arrive in 2025, although we already knew that. However, today we have the exact date: 9 October, the date of Capital Markets Day 2025, when CEO Benedetto Vigna will unveil the first zero-emission supercar from Cavallino Rampante.

A surprise announcement

The announcement of the date for the unveiling of the first electric Ferrari in history came during the 2024 financial results conference call. During the conference, the CEO did not reveal any specific details about the new model, but he did mention that the electric model in the range will be an 'addition' and not a replacement for the current thermal engines and hybrid powertrains.

According to Vigna's statement at the conference, the presentation of the zero-emission sports car will be accompanied by the debut of five other new Ferrari models or special versions of cars in the course of the year that has just begun, including.

What we know in brief

Ferrari has yet to reveal the design and layout of its first electric model. Some unconfirmed rumours have suggested a zero-emission two-seater in 2024, but spy photos of a Maserati Levante body later convinced us to create a rendering of the next crossover-style Ferrari EV, which you can see below.

What emerged was a digital image of a little sister to the Purosangue, a low-slung, five-door crossover SUV with a front end reminiscent of the Ferrari Roma.

Tell us what you think!

Styling and proportions have not been and will not be confirmed, but what is certain is that this special new electric car will be built at the newly unveiled e-building plant in Maranello, where all the rest of the Prancing Horse's new sports cars will gradually be built. We'll just have to wait until the autumn to find out more.
