Jannarelly Automotive, a young French-Emirati supercar manufacturer born in 2016, is back in the news with the unveiling of the new Aella-60, a supercar named after a 9th-century king of Northumberland (a county in north-east England).

Designed by Art Machines by Anthony Jannarelly - Caterham's designer - the sports car will be unveiled at the Retromobile 2025 show in Paris from 5 to 9 February 2025 and represents a combination of craftsmanship, extreme performance and design inspired by the racing world of the 1960s, reinterpreted with modern solutions.

Lightweight

The Aella-60 is built from a carbon fibre and aluminium monocoque and is mechanically based on the Ferrari 360 Modena, with a 3.6-litre V8 engine developing 473 PS, all of which is delivered to the ground through a six-speed manual gearbox.

According to the manufacturer, the use of extremely light materials has enabled the designers to stop the scales at a total weight of just 1,130 kg, a value that has made it possible to achieve one of the most fundamental power-to-weight ratios in the segment.

Unique aesthetics

Speaking of design, according to the company's founding designer, the car was developed as a tribute to the past. In particular, the sculpted and muscular lines are reminiscent of 1960s racing cars, but with contemporary details such as LED light clusters, optimised air intakes and active aerodynamics.

Finally, the interior has been designed in the name of minimalism, but with high-quality materials and focused on pure driving pleasure: no superfluous screens, just essential instruments and a very sporty steering wheel.
