UK: Renault R4 R Pass gives you early access to reborn icon and more
Prices and specs of the EV are yet to be announced.
Renault is offering car enthusiasts in the United Kingdom a gift that’s guaranteed to spark joy this holiday season. Enter the R Pass, a £150 golden ticket for fans of the upcoming Renault 4 E-Tech electric car, providing perks that go way beyond early bird bragging rights.
What exactly does this exclusive pass get you? Well, for starters, holders can jump to the front of the line when it’s time to order the retro-modern 4 E-Tech electric, skipping the wait faced by the general public.

But wait, there’s more. R Pass owners will enjoy insider information, invites to exclusive preview events, and a charming 1/43 scale model of the car to admire while they wait for the real thing. Think of it as a teaser trailer you can park on your desk.
This isn’t Renault’s first rodeo with the R Pass. The scheme gained traction with the Renault 5 E-Tech electric, which saw nearly 800 fans snapping it up ahead of its ordering window. Building on that momentum, the 4 E-Tech version is expected to be a hot ticket, especially considering its pre-Christmas launch.
Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October, the Renault 4 E-Tech electric has already proven to be popular among the auto enthusiasts. Its nostalgic nods to the classic Renault 4, including a single-piece illuminated grille and reinvented rear lights, have hit the sweet spot for fans of vintage aesthetics with modern functionality.
Under the bonnet, there’s plenty to love, too. Buyers can choose between a 52 kWh battery with a 150 PS motor offering a 250-mile range, or a slightly smaller 40 kWh option for those with less ambitious road trips in mind. With an extended wheelbase for ample cabin space and a boot that can swallow 420 litres (or 385 if you save space for the charging cable), it’s as practical as it is stylish. Charging, naturally, is up to speed – literally. The Renault 4 E-Tech supports bi-directional charging and can juice up to 100 kW with its more powerful powertrain.
The Renault 4 E-Tech is said to arrive in the UK in the middle of 2025 with prices to be announced earlier in the year.
