The most luxurious Ineos Grenadier doesn't come from the factory

It's a collaboration between two renowned tuning companies.

In a world where SUVs are either all grit or all glam, Chelsea Truck Company’s latest creation based on Ineos products, The Grandmaster, has just entered the chat – and it’s as lavish as it is rugged. Following up on the wild success of the Series II Expedition Grenadier, Chelsea Truck has taken the rugged Ineos Grenadier, given it a five-star luxury spa treatment, and unleashed it as a bespoke model that’s as comfortable on city streets as it is commanding on mountainous trails.

Designed in collaboration with the Kahn design house, The Grandmaster is nothing short of a statement on wheels. The model's bold exterior – think wide wings, sleek carbon-fibre accents, and a satin-finish body – looks the part. Those carbon-fibre wheel arches and wide wings aren’t just for show, too – they add a distinct muscularity to the vehicle that’s impossible to ignore, while a central roof light, inspired by Formula 1, hints at speed and aerodynamic prowess, though that’s obviously not the focus here.

Inside, The Grandmaster is practically a rolling boutique. The cabin features an exclusive Volcanic Blue leather interior, which might be the softest thing you’ll encounter this side of a cashmere blanket. From the reupholstered Nappa leather seats (complete with Chelsea Truck Co. branding, naturally) to the leather-trimmed door panels and grab handles, there’s hardly a surface left unsoftened.

What do you think?

But don’t let all that refinement fool you into thinking The Grandmaster isn’t up for an adventure. Its 35-inch all-terrain tyres, robust 9x20-inch alloy wheels, and beefy 100 mm Crosshair exhaust system scream capability. This is a luxury off-roader, not a velvet-roped showpiece.

Still, The Grandmaster knows where to draw the line between luxury and ruggedness. Unlike its Series II Expedition sibling, which was essentially ready to tackle the wilderness right out of the gate, this Ineos Grenadier edition is more refined, aiming at those who appreciate high-end design as much as they enjoy the open road. It’s a homage to the OEM+ design philosophy, giving the original 4x4 design a stylish upgrade without losing its core identity.
