UK: 60 years of Ford Mustang honoured with one-off art car unveiled at Silverstone
Made in cooperation between Ford and Haus of Thrills.
Silverstone roared to life on 27 October, but not just from race cars this time. The iconic Ford Mustang took centrе stage in a unique celebration that paired power with high art. Car enthusiasts, artists, and revving engines all converged at Escapade Silverstone, a new restaurant and hotel nestled by the famed racing circuit, to pay tribute to the Mustang’s six-decade legacy.
In the spirit of the event, Ford and creative collective Haus of Thrills teamed up for a memorable debut: a one-of-a-kind art car, fittingly dubbed “Thrill Horse.” This special 2025 Mustang, crafted in cooperation with artist Kyle “KidThrill” Wilkinson, is not just visually striking but also a literal auditory homage to the Mustang’s past. The design features soundwave-inspired patterns generated from V8 audio recordings dating back through all six generations of the Mustang. Imagine decades of Mustang growls, snorts, and roars, now embodied in each graphic element running the length of this seventh-gen beauty.

Each line etched along the car isn’t random: each represents an era in Mustang history, while a sleek set of six blue and white stripes symbolise each decade since the model’s debut in 1964. Adding an extra layer of personal flair, Ford invited Mustang owners to share recordings of their own engines. Their car sounds, captured in high fidelity, are woven into the car’s design – and each owner’s name is proudly featured on the rear bumper, immortalising them as part of this 60th-anniversary tribute.
“This has to be the highlight of my career as a Mustang lover,” Wilkinson shared, looking genuinely thrilled to have his mark on Ford history. “This release from Haur of Thrills isn’t just a car; it’s a love letter to Mustang fans, past and present.” Guests at the event weren’t just treated to the one-off Mustang but also to a gleaming lineup of Mustangs throughout the years – a parade that showed just how much the Mustang has evolved while staying true to its muscle roots.
