Toyota has announced that Lexus LFA production has ended.
Lexus sold all 500 units of the LFA by June 2010 even though the car went into production in December of the same year. The 500th LFA rolled off the production line last Friday and will go through the usual inspection and road testing before being handed to the customer. The Lexus LFA production pace was one unit per day.
At the beginning of this year Lexus introduced the LFA Nürburgring Package which was manufactured in 50 units of the total 500 planned. It comes with a tweaked V10 4.8-liter engine that churns an additional 10 hp (7.4 kW) for a total of 562 hp (419 kW). It also has an updated 6-speed sequential transmission and several body parts made from carbon fiber.
