MG has revealed the facelifted MG6, expected to hit dealerships in late 2014.
By now, MG has released information only about the GT liftback version. The Magnette sedan will likely get the same visual improvements.
Based on the Roewe 550, the model comes with revised headlights, reshaped air inlets, integrated LED daytime running lamps and a new front grille with larger MG logo. At the back there's a new bumper design.
Inside the cabin, we find a new electronic handbrake and an upgraded infotainment system. MG also says most of the materials used for the interior have been replaced with higher quality materials.
In terms of engines, the facelifted MG6 will continue to be powered by a 1.8-liter petrol unit with 133 bhp (99 kW) and a turbocharged variant delivering 160 bhp (119 kW). The pre-facelift UK-spec variant also has a 1.9-liter DTi-TECH turbodiesel rated at 148 bhp (110 kW) and 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) that could also be offered for the updated MG6.
