Kia has announced a long wheelbase version of their high selling Carnival MPV at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. The Grand VQ-R will only be available in the Chinese market and is due to arrive in dealerships this September.
The MPV boasts three rows of seats for up to seven passengers and a driver. The third row of seats fold neatly below the luggage compartment floor helping extend the storage capacity when required.
The 2.2-liter diesel unit from the European Kia Sorento is located within the engine bay. It generates 197PS (145kW / 194hp) and 435Nm (321lb-ft) of torque and is mated with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
