Spotted a few days ago during a Tourist Day at the Nürburgring, this BMW 3 Series is certainly not something the company built during the E46 generation. The single cab pickup was likely born from a coupe, but with the trunk lid borrowed from the cabriolet judging by the location of the third brake light. While we don’t have exact details on the build, it does look like a lot of effort was put into making the rear-wheel-drive workhorse.

The ultimate driving pickup complements the very few trucks built by BMW in the past, with the most recent one being a one-off X7. Back in the day, the German automaker also converted a couple of E30 and E92 M3s to pickups, but the chances of an actual production truck from BMW are slim to none.
