The Space Vizzion might be the coolest entry yet in Volkswagen’s family of ID electric vehicle concepts. From the outside, the wagon has a sleek shape with an arching roofline. The vehicle looks big, though, and the large footprint gives it an imposing stance. Stepping inside, VW imagines the future. There’s a tiny screen in front of the driver, but an augmented reality HUD would display the important info. A huge infotainment screen attaches to the center console, too. With an 82-kilowatt-hour battery pack, VW estimates a range of around 300 miles in the EPA test. A production version should arrive in the U.S. in 2022, and the company is even toying with the idea of building higher riding, more rugged version as an Alltrack-like model.
