Regardless of where you’re planning to go on vacation, the VW Golf Alltrack is up to the job thanks to standard all-wheel drive and a raised ground clearance. It has everything you like about the regular hatchback but adds the wagon’s much larger trunk to carry an entire family’s worth of luggage.

Being a family car first and foremost, you won’t be needing sports car levels of power, so the 170 hp (127 kW) of the 1.8-liter gasoline engine should be more than adequate. The fact it has a dual-clutch automatic transmission makes it a more relaxing companion during longer journeys.
