Today's American family is shrinking. Young adults are forgoing having children, yet our vehicles continue to grow – a result of increasing safety standards and automakers hoping to pad those profit margins. But you don't require a cavernous crossover to enjoy a great vacation. The journey is half the fun, and sitting behind the wheel of a crossover sounds abysmal. Instead, slip in the driver's seat of a Mustang GT and set off to the edge of the world. The Mustang appears antithetical to the definition of a vacation car; however, if you pack smart, you can fit a tent, sleeping bags, coolers, clothes, food, and drink for a couple of weeks in the trunk. Yes, it'll be a tight fit, which I've learned from experience, but it's far from impossible.
