At the beginning of the month, the Transformers 5 film crew was in Detroit, Michigan to shoot some of the scenes for the next installment in the blockbuster franchise set to hit the big theaters on June 23 next year. Now, the team behind “Transformers: The Last Knight” has been spotted on the streets of London where a handful of supercars were on set.

Perhaps the most spectacular of them all is the ultra-exclusive Lamborghini Centenario Coupe, one of the only 20 units ever made at a pre-tax price of $1.9 million. Movie director Michael Bay released a teaser last month to announce the appearance of Autobot “Hot Rod” in the new film and in vehicle mode it’s going to take the shape of the sold-out, Aventador-based Centenario.

Check out:

Performing its duties as “Bumblebee” will be a customized Chevy Camaro spotted on a trailer about a month ago, while a Ford Mustang pursuit car in police livery is going to serve as a vehicle mode for the Decepticon Barricade. We are also able to observe the lovely Aston Martin DB11 and a McLaren 570S, but it’s unclear at this point whether these will actually be Transformers.

There’s also what appears to be a heavily modified Audi RS4 Sedan camera car with covered rear wheels and a sinister matte black livery looking as if it came straight from Gotham City. Interestingly, at the 1:03 mark we are able to observe Ben Collins, none other than former “The Stig” from Top Gear.

Getting back to the cars, the fifth installment in the Transformers franchise will also include a menacing Mercedes-AMG GT R as “Drift” serving as a replacement for the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse used in the previous movie. “Onslaught” will be “played” by a Western Star 4900 SF truck, while Autobot leader “Optimus Prime” is going to be a Western Star 5700 XE.

All things considered, it looks as if the film set is for a new Fast and Furious movie rather than for Transformers, and we’re perfectly ok with that.
