Owners are able to race in a variety of events from Endurance and Sprint Series.
Introduced more than a year ago at the Geneva Motor Show, the Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus 003 is what you could call a two-in-one supercar. It’s being sold a kit car with road-legal status, but it can be transformed into a full-blown race car destined for the track by swapping the engine and making some other changes. Company founder James Glickenhaus says the conversion does not require a lot of work and in track-only guise the vehicle meets GT3 regulations.
Developed by the same folks responsible for the Ferrari Enzo-based P4/5 and Ferrari 430 Scuderia-based P4/5 Competizione, the SCG003 is already available for purchase, and should you want to race it on circuits, Traum Motorsport has got you covered. The company is offering starting this month a customer racing team for SCG003C (Competizione) owners and the necessary support to compete in Germany’s VLN Endurance Championship and also in 24-hour endurance races.
Not only that, but Traum Motorsport can also take care of all the necessary paperwork such as insurance and transportation, while on the track it can provide fuel, tires, mechanical support, and even a race crew. All of these efforts are broken down into pre-race services, race services, and technical support. The range-topping Professional package comes with a crew of at least 16 people providing pre-race support during shakedown and for the entire test session. On-site engine tuning will be available to make tweaks in order to improve pefroamnce. Once the race is over, the owner will receive full analysis and feedback provided by two dedicated technicians.
Pricing details have not been disclosed, but you can imagine full motorsport services for a high-end track machine are not exactly cheap. Since everything can be tailored to the customer’s needs, pricing greatly varies depending on what the SCG003C owner needs to quench his thirst for track action in organized competitions.
