Five Lucky People Will Get to Own this Corvette-Powered Land Rover
No, this is not a Land Rover Defender from an action adventure movie, although you'd be forgiven for thinking that's the case. This stout piece of machinery is the work of East Coast Defender (ECD), and because people were so taken with it when it debuted earlier in the year, they've decided to build five more of them. Want to be one of the lucky few who get to roll around in a delightfully villainous looking Defender? Like so many of the finer things in life, you'll have to apply for the privilege. Appropriately nicknamed "Beast," this Land Rover Defender 110 has been completely worked over by the folks at ECD, both inside and out. As we've noted previously, "Bone stock, you’d have to measure this truck’s run to 60 mph in geologic time. Now, it manages the run in just seven seconds...". That newfound athleticism is courtesy of a Chevy LS3 V8 under the hood, and a hand built Magnaflow exhaust. In addition to the that prowess on the pavement, the Landie also gained more gear for off-road adventures, including a 2-inch Terrafirma lift kit, Wild Bear heavy duty bumper with a Smitty build winch, and Nitto Grappler A/T tires.
The upgrades continue inside where nearly everything is covered in hand-stitched, quilted leather, including the extremely attractive Corbeau seats. A Momo sport steering wheel, and premium sound package comprised of a Pioneer touchscreen nav unit and JBL components further elevate the experience for driver and passenger alike. The "Beast" is basically a private room at a nightclub that you can park absolutely anywhere.

If all that sounds good to you, and it definitely should, then your next step to becoming one of the lucky 5 to own a Beast is to fill out the application. ECD is looking for individuals with a unique and distinct love of automobiles, so if that sounds like you, and you've got $225,000 burning a hole in your pocket, make sure to apply by September 9th.
The five best applicants will be selected by a round table consisting of the ECD department heads, and their bespoke Land Rover Defender dreams will come true. Sure beats being just another geek off the street with an AMG Wagen.
