The profit on this sale was about $1 million

Seeing a million dollar return on any investment is cause for celebration, but after just two years, that's cause for major celebration. I'm sure the previous owner of this super-rare Lamborghini Veneno Roadster will agree.

Just nine examples of the topless variant of the even rarer Lamborghini Veneno were built in 2014, and when new, they were priced at $4.5 million. As is often the case with crazy expensive cars, plunking down the cash proved to be a good call for whomever owned this one as they just sold it for a million more than what they paid for it. Lamborghini Veneno Roadster Sells For a Whopping $5.5 Million

Profit on this sale was about $1 million, though, it's easy to hesitate in calling it a million dollar 'profit' considering the running costs of the car, taxes, and all that other fun stuff. But as a wise friend once told me with regard to buying and selling cars, "doesn't matter if the profit is twenty grand, or a thousand dollars, a profit is a profit." Given that this car has only 56 miles on it, and it's one of eight examples in the world, and it's a roadster, it's safe to say that the value will only go up. Are there better investments in less volatile markets? Absolutely, but can they do 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and delight people of all ages? I doubt it.
