Cafe Racer Dreams (CRD) of Spain have created a custom BMW R100 that not only exhibits iconic cafe racer performance, but some rugged looks as well.

The bike is based off an ’84 R100 and was created for a customer in Nice, France. The whole concept was first sketched up on a napkin before they decided to start the project.

Shortening the gas tank to about half, CRD fitted the bike with an iconic BMW livery, a custom seat with an LED tail light, a repurposed R100 fender, and some chunky Continental TKC80s on a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel.

The engine also got revamped—adding a pair of K&N filters, getting rid of the air box in place of a custom aluminum battery box, and using a Motogadget m-Unit control unit. That Motogadget unit also gave way to a new speedometer, turn signals, and a few other components.
