Donkervoort D8 GTO 1000 Miglia Edition

Making its debut as the official support car for the 2015 Mille Miglia, the 2015 Donkervoort D8 GTO 1000 Miglia Edition is a touring variant of the more performance focused D8 GTO Performance and Bilster Berg Editions. Keeping that in mind, the D8 GTO Miglia is a softer driving Donkervoort that can be driven comfortably on a daily basis if desired. The car was built with the aim of increasing both the total comfort of the car as well as the ease-of-use to ensure enjoyment of driving the GTO on Europe’s most beautiful roads. Base MSRP $129,000

While upon first glance of the D8 GTO 1000 Miglia it is hard to distinguish the difference between this edition and the others, there are clear indicators that will give it away. First of all, the 1000 Miglia badging at the rear and on the side panels is a dead giveaway. Another identifying factor is the ride height of the 1000 Miglia is increased for street use, including adjustable comfort shock absorbers. Gullwing doors add some flare to the car when the doors are upright.

Inside the cabin, everything has been left pretty bare in order to save weight. A classically designed dashboard features conventional dials, each with extra facilities for use of navigation and a telephone. The D8 GTO 1000 Miglia Edition is limited to 25 cars, each identified by specially designed logos and badges inside and out. The upholstery is entirely custom made and is completely customizable by the customer.

Under the hood, an Audi-sourced 2.5-liter TFSI five-cylinder engine has been taken from the Bilster Berg Edition and detuned from 380 horsepower down to 310 horsepower. Also different from the Bilster Berg Edition is some added weight due to the reduced use of carbon fiber. Reaching 60 mph takes roughly 3.3 seconds and has an electronically limited top speed of 155mph.
