Infiniti Q60 IPL Convertible

The IPL Convertible comes standard with enhancements that are not limited to just engine performance. The IPL Convertible attempts to fill the gap that both the hardtop coupe and folding hardtop convertible forms. This is the twin of Infiniti’s highly respected hardtop coupe, configured in a front-engine, rear-drive setup. The Q60 IPL shares its Nissan FM platform with the Infiniti M, EX and FX model of cars, along with the Nissan 370Z. Base MSRP $62,100

Some exterior differences between the Base Q60 Convertible and the Q60 IPL include a dramatic front bumper/fascia design, featuring black finishers and fog lights, sculpted side gills and chrome dual exhaust tips. Exclusive 19-inch IPL split 7-spoke wheels finished in graphite and wrapped in low-profile Bridgestone Potenza RE050A performance tires add a ton of grip and a confident stance for a road-ready attitude. Two available exterior colors for the IPL are Majestic White and Malbec Black, which add to its exclusive jewel-like presence. The IPL Convertible rides on an independent suspension with front double wishbones and a multilink kit at the rear. Stabilizer bars at each end paired with HF shocks with specific damping control add to the performance of the IPL Convertible.

Infiniti offers just two color treatments for the interior, Stone and IPL-exclusive Monaco Red. Both include red-stitched leather-appointed front seats, a red-stitched heated steering wheel, Silk Obi aluminum trim, and exclusive IPL logos embroidered on the front seatbacks and front floor mats. Other features are a power tilt/telescopic steering wheel, iPod interface and aluminum trimmed pedals and footrest. Standard interior features on the IPL Convertible include a 13-speaker Bose Open Air Sound System, Climate-controlled front seats, and Infiniti’s Hard Drive Navigation System.

The Q60 IPL Convertible’s VQ37HR 3.7-liter V6 engine’s management system has been recalibrated through air-fuel mixture and ignition timing optimization, generating 343 horsepower over the standard Q60 Convertible’s 325 horsepower. The IPL Convertible is paired to a 7-speed automatic transmission with Downshift Rev Matching and quick-shift Drive Sport mode with magnesium paddle shifters and Adaptive Shift control. The IPL Convertible produces 273 lb-ft of torque and gets to 60 mph in 5.3 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited at 155 mph.
