Automotive Concepts Armored Vehicle for Chinese Government
This is a new one-of-a-kind vehicle. Polaris was contacted by the Chinese government to build a vehicle for their border patrol. Polaris referred the Chinese government to Automotive Concepts in New Hope, MN.
Automotive Concepts accepted the offer and built this speculative vehicle using a Polaris Ranger 6x6 800.
Automottive Concepts removed the Polaris body and built a custom (not bullet proof) body. They also added a turbo charger kit. The Polaris Ranger 6x6 800 specs (without turbo) states that it goes 40mph. This is not a street legal vehicle. It also comes with a winch. The Chinese government made payments on it up to a year and a half ago and then went silent. Automotive Concepts has since put it on the lot for sale. Automotive Concepts said they are selling it to for same price as a new Polaris Ranger 6x6 800 with a turbo kit - significantly less than what they have invested into this customized vehicle.
