Lotus Exige LF1

In 2000, British automaker Lotus revealed its lightweight Exige sportscar. Since then, the sporty coupe has seen many variants ranging in power, weight and drivetrain.

For 2014, Lotus has announced the introduction of its Exige LF1 in honor of the brand's Formula 1 racing team.

Using the current Exige S as a base, the Exige LF1 comes fully loaded with a black and gold exterior including red accents and limited edition badging. Other features range from gold wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo tires, to high-performance brakes and a Race Pack that induces a Dynamic Performance Management system.

Inside, the custom design features a two-tone leather/fabric combination including embroidered headrests and seatbacks. The black and gold interior features accent the exterior coloration and Lotus' F1 racing team colors.

Other interior amenities include air conditioning and an individually numbered carbon fiber plaque of authenticity.

This unique Exige comes powered with a 3.5-liter supercharged V6 that develops 350 horsepower (257 kw) and 295 lb-ft (400 nm) of torque. From a dead stop, the Exige LF1 can reach 62 mph (100 km/h) in only 4.0 seconds, on to a top speed of 170 mph (274 km/h).

Only 81 of these special editions will be built and are available for sale in all markets excepts the U.S.
