Dodge Lil' Red Express Pickup
Dodge’s Li'l Red Express Truck first saw production in 1978, the result of a single loophole in federal pollution control regulations. Dodge engineers had discovered that Environmental Protection Agency regulations allowed light trucks of over 6,100 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight to run completely unfettered by engine pollution controls, and the prototypical “muscle truck” was born.
