The 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, priced at $202,000 when new, was introduced in September 2012 at the Paris Auto Show.
The 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 embodies how the new Gallardo design has been accentuated. Triangular and trapezoidal forms characterize the new front end. Both shapes are symbolic of the design language of the modern Lambo. Together they create a broader and more forceful front end.
Completing the new aggressive front end are larger air intakes. They have been placed in front of the wheels. In fact, the wheels of the 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 are themselves new. They are 19-inch “Apollo polished” alloy wheels, painted in matte black with precision-machined spokes in polished silver.
The rear fascia of the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 also demonstrates a stunning updated look with its embracing of the triangle and trapezoid design elements. High-gloss black paintwork on the underside of the front spoiler, front and rear grilles and the transverse element of the rear trim are available as an option.
Just because it’s a Lambodoesn’t mean it is lacking in creature comforts one expects from high-price vehicles. The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 features driver and front passenger seat sports seat with one power adjustments; audio system with AM/FM radio, CD player (reads MP3 format), digital media card and satellite radio; intelligent driver front airbag, intelligent passenger front airbag with occupant switch off; and, leather upholstery.
The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 has a 5.2-liter, V-10 engine that produces 552 horsepower at 8,000 rpm and 398 lb. ft. of torque at 6,500 rpm. It comes standard with a six-speed manual and is capable of doing 0-60 in 3.7 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph. It is also somewhat fuel efficient in spite of those performance numbers. Fuel economy is rated at 11-mpg city and 24-mpg highway.
The air outlet for the power unit now has now a wider surface area, which improves its thermodynamic efficiency.
