Ford Model A Deluxe Coupe

The remarkable thing about the Model A Ford is not its popularity when new – it bested Chevrolet over the period by less than 25 percent. Rather, it’s the rate at which it has survived and maintained its popularity. Until postwar cars took over the collector market, the Model A Ford was the perennial favorite among restorers, collectors and enthusiasts.

This car was auctioned off by RM Auctions in October of 2010 at the Hershey Lodge, Hershey, Pennsylvania.

40 bhp, 200.5 cu. in. four-cylinder inline L-head engine, three-speed manual transmission, solid front axle with transverse semi-elliptic leaf spring, live rear axle with transverse semi-elliptic leaf spring, four-wheel mechanical drum brakes. Wheelbase: 103.5".
