BMW M3 Competition Edition

To honor the 40th anniversary since the founding of BMW M in 1972, BMW of North America announced the 2012 M3 Competition Edition featured in Frozen Silver. Production was limited to only 40 identically equipped units, making this car a very exclusive piece of BMW history. These special editions come standard with Electronic Damping Control with enhanced programming and higher-threshold programming for the M Dynamic Mode. The 2012 BMW M3 Competition Edition was offered for an MSRP of $81,060 including destination and handling.

Each identical M3 features BMW Individual’s exclusive Frozen Silver Metallic exterior paint, accentuating the sporty and aggressive lines of the legendary BMW M3. The unique exterior additions include black hood intakes along with dark chrome exterior trim on the kidney grills, side gills, and the exhaust tips. Gloss black 19” Style 359M wheels over carbon-ceramic brakes complete the look.

Interior features of this special 2012 BMW M3 include black Extended Novillo Leather throughout the cabin. The interior is accentuated by unique palladium trim and palladium silver-contrast stitching on the headrests, front seats, door trim panels and handles, center armrest and center console. Other unique features that distinguish this interior from other M3 interiors are the Alcantara-covered multi-function M steering wheel with a unique BMW M3 Checkered Flag logo inlay. This logo is also featured on the door sill finishers, while the handbrake lever sports an embroidered M Power logo over Alcantara. The cherry on top is the genuine Carbon Fiber trim pieces on the dash and center console.

Every 2012 M3 Competition Edition will be powered by the award-winning 4.0-liter V8 from the base M3. This V8 redlines at an astonishing 8,400 rpm and produces 414 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, knocking out a 0 to 60 time of 4.5 seconds when paired with the BMW M Double Clutch Transmission.
