Aston Martin DB2 Vantage Drophead Coupe

There was only 98 examples of the late-production DB2 Drophead Coupé built between 1950 and 1953. Aside from this rarity, LML/50/366 only about 75 left-hand drive DB2 Drophead Coupés built, and the engine prefix shows it received the larger valve Vantage engine.

This car was auctioned off by RM Auctions in January of 2011 at the Arizona Biltmore Resort & Spa, Phoenix, Arizona and in October of 2011 at the Battersea Evolution, London.

2,580 cc DOHC six-cylinder engine, twin SU carburettors, four-speed manual gearbox, independent front suspension with coil springs, trailing links and anti-roll bar, live axle rear with coil springs, radius rods and Panhard bar, and Girling four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes. Wheelbase: 2,500 mm.
