BMW M3 Sedan was a huge hit with the market when it debuted in 2008. With that success, BMW decided to choose the 2012 M Night event leading up to the Nürburgring 24-hour race to debut the newest sedan model, the M3 CRT (Carbon Racing Technology). With this debut, BMW was also debuting the new production process for CFRP (carbon fiber reinforced plastic) components. Limited production run of just 67 units, each with a base MSRP of $185,000.

The first noticeable exterior feature of the 2012 BMW M3 is the Frozen Polar Silver metallic exterior paint along with Melbourne Red metallic applications and a special treatment for the BMW kidney grilles. Gloss black, 19” Style 359M wheels over large carbon-ceramic brakes from the Competition Package give this sedan extra bite. A beautiful, CFRP rear deck lid spoiler and front splitter, each trimmed in Melbourne Red, makes this BMW M3 stand apart from all others. The final, big CFRP piece is the hood, having the strength of a conventional steel hood, but saves over 50% of the weight over the normal aluminum M3 hood.

Many modifications were made to the interior of the M3 CRT, including the addition of custom made bucket seats, made out of cellular carbon honeycomb. These seats are wrapped in Special Sakhir Orange and Black Novillo Leather for the front and individual rear seats. Sakhir Orange trim on the floor mats match the seats perfectly. The M steering wheel is fully covered in Alcantara along with the headliner. Exclusive CRT door sill strips, door panels and carbon-aluminum trim pieces really set off this interior.

A slightly tuned, 4.0-liter V8 from the base M3 paired with a sports exhaust system and lightweight titanium muffler sets this beast into motion. Producing 450 horsepower and 324 lb-ft of torque, the 2012 BMW M3 accelerates from 0 to 60 in just 4.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 180 mph.
