Pierce-Arrow Model 54 Convertible Sedan
In 1932, this bold manufacturer anchored its production around the 52, 53 and 54 Models. The Model 52 had 142 and 147 inch wheelbase options and a 150 hp V-12 engine. The Model 53 included a smaller 140 hp engine, with the Model 54 working with an improved straight-eight power plant and 125 hp.
This car was auctioned off by RM Auctions in July of 2010 at the Shotwell Gustafson Pavilion at Meadow Brook Hall, Rochester, Michigan.
125 bhp, 366 cu. in. inline side-valve eight-cylinder engine, four-speed manual transmission, solid front axle and live rear axle with semi-elliptic leaf springs, and four-wheel servo-assisted mechanical drum brakes. Wheelbase: 137"
