Chrysler 300D

The success of the Chrysler 300 in 1955 meant a second edition in 1956 — dubbed the Chrysler 300B.  By 1958, the Chrysler 300D was introduced using Virgil Exner’s spectacular “Forward Look” styling and was available in convertible as well as coupe models.

The Firepower HEMI® V-8 engine, with higher output and displacement than the original 300, was discontinued after 1958 due to its high cost of manufacture.

This car was auctioned off by RM Auctions in August of 2010 at the Portola Hotel & Spa and Monterey Conference Center, Monterey, California.
