For the 2010 model year, Lamborghini and Versace were still relatively new to their creative partnership. It began in 2006 and demonstrated itself in force with the launch of the 2010 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 Roadster Versace at Versace headquarters in Milan, Italy.
Designers from the House of Versace worked in conjunction with the Lambo Design Center (Centro Stile) specialists within the company that work on the ad personam project. Similar to Bentley’s bespoke program, it allows customers to select how personalized their Lambo will be from exterior colors, equipment specification, and various interior details.
The 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640 Roadster Versace, which is being produced in limited quantities, is done in a pastel white. The Greek key motif that is a Versace signature adorns the door’s lower section.
In a nod to its performance capabilities, Versace and Lamborghini have also given this roadster a see-through engine hood. It helps show off the powerful V12 engine underneath.
Supposedly that engine hood, which went through extensive design with a focus on minimalist lines, was the inspiration behind a whole host of accessories that comprise the Versace Collection LP 640. Items include: a trolley bag, suit carrier, sports bag, as well as a briefcase, suitcase, gloves, driving shoes, belt, wallet, key ring, beauty case, hat and a pair of jeans. All are crafted in a matte black finish on calf skin leather.
Special attention has also been paid to the interior. Black and white leather envelops the cradle seats. A soft nappa leather, described as opulent and full grain, features the iconic Versace Greek key just like the exteriors of the doors. The leather is used for the instrument panel, door interiors and center console.
The 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster Versace features a 6.5-liter V12 engine that produces up to 632 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission is standard. Also available is an E-gear auto-shifting manual transmission with steering column-mounted paddles.
