2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV China Edition

The Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV China Edition was introduced at the Beijing Auto Show in 2010. At the time, the Chinese economy was nearing its peak with all automotive manufacturers scrambling to be part of its wealth.

To create the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV China Edition, (SuperVeloce China Edition) Lamborghini began with the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. It could also be called Super Exclusive with only 10 numbered cars for the Chinese market. The rest of the world could only look on with envy.

Exterior

The exterior of the 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV China Edition is dominated by an orange stripe against the flat gray carbon shell. The orange is supposed to be symbolic of an erupting volcano, which is an indicator of great strength in Chinese culture.

To demonstrate great wealth, each 2010 Lambo Murcielago LP670-4 SV China Edition has a special badge mounted to the exterior. It shows which of the exclusive 10 models this is, as well as the displaying the name of the owner.

Because it is based on a SuperVeloce, the SV China Edition has a clear carbon front spoiler. The same material also comprises the lower air intakes. A newly designed rear diffuser also has the carbon treatment and is joined by a centrally mounted exhaust system.

Interior

No enhancements have been made for the interior of this two-seat, two-door coupe – largely because none are needed. Alcantara and carbon fiber are used to various degrees to create an interior that is designed to be both pure and minimalist.

That minimalist approach appears to have failed with the carbon-shelled seats, though. They have been described as being uncomfortable in terms of lumbar support.

Performance

One of the biggest enhancements to the Lambo Murcielago LP670-4 SV China Edition is its weight reduction of 220 lbs. That helps the 6.5-liter, V12, with its increased 670 horsepower, have a horsepower-to-weight ratio of 5.1 lbs. Not quite below the target 5 lb. mark, but still pretty good. It does 0-60 in 3.2 seconds.
