You can tell just by looking at the 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce that SuperVeloce stands for super velocity. And this two-door, two-seat coupe is true to its name.
Originally, plans called for 350 versions of the 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce to be produced. But, only 186 versions of the $400,000 car were made. Then it got squeezed aside in favor of the new Lambo Aventador.
One interesting side note is the numbering of the Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SuperVeloce. The number associated with the model does not represent the production order. Therefore, number 138, for example, could have been produced before number 72.
The super sports car has seen extreme revisions. It has a new front and rear fascia. The cover for the hood is considered innovative. Also innovative are the two rear spoilers: the owner decides between them. There is a small rear spoiler that comes standard or the larger “Aeropack Wing.” It provides greater downforce for increased stability and improved handling.
With the small standard-fit rear spoiler, while the large “Aeropack Wing” and its added downforce gives a top speed of 337 km/h (209 mph).
The interior is a mixture of Alcantara and carbon fiber. It is designed to be both pure and minimalist.
The Lambo Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, not surprisingly, is more powerful, lighter and faster than the Murciélago LP 640. The clue is in its name. The 670 refers to its horsepower, which is up from the 640 of the Murciélago LP 640. The enhancement came about because of optimization to the valve timing and the valve system being reworked.
According to Maurizio Reggiani, head of Lamborghini R&D, the LP 670–4 SV's steering was tuned for high-speed sensitivity. It has 0 to 60 mph time of 3.2 seconds.
Top speed stands at 212 mph.
