Special edition models for your typical high volume production vehicle are created for one of two reasons – either the model is not selling as well as expected so the manufacturer is trying to drum up a little publicity or the model is nearing the end of its product cycle and about to be replaced with an all new generation leaving the manufacturer to try and boost final unit sales. Other standard fittings to the “Edition 2009” include “Climatronic” air-conditioning system, cruise control, an “RCD 510” radio system with an integrated 6-stack CD player and rear parking sensors.

The pricing starts at €31,325 for the entry level 121hp engine representing a saving of €1,340.
