A new ending

For quite a while, rumours had it that Seat was planning to offer an estate version of their slow-selling Toledo four-door kind-of-a-sedan – and here’s now evidence that the rumoured car is actually existing and will make it into showrooms some time later this year or early next year at the latest. We’ve snapped the Seat Toledo Estate undergoing cold-climate testing at VW’s secret test-area in northern Sweden where it was left un-guarded for just a tenth of a second!

Based on the Toledo notchback and Altea platform (which itself is borrowed from the Audi A3 and VW Golf), the Toledo Estate will make use of the same engines offered for the two older versions, namely the two four-cylinder petrol engines with 102 and 150 bhp plus two TDIs with either 1.9 or 2.0 litres capacity and an output of 105 and 140 bhp respectively. Sleeker tailights and a small roof-spoiler will round the picture of this more elegant estate version of the Seat Toledo.
