This 1969 Mercury Cyclone is the Most Underrated Muscle Car Money Can Buy
Everyone knows the standard crop of muscle cars; Mustang, Camaro, Challenger. But often times there are classics that tend to fly under the radar, for one reason or another. This 1969 Mercury Cyclone is a perfect example for that. It's powerful, it's beautiful, and it's currently up for sale in Tennessee looking for the right bidder. According to BarnFinds, this was the only year that the Cyclone CJ was built, and is one of only 33 finished with this paint color and trim. It sports rare factory argent-style steel wheels, and has an engine that was completely rebuilt back in 2015. The rebuild included painting the engine bay. The car runs just fine with its 7.0-liter 428 V8, and was professionally painted in 1984 by the second owner before being safely kept in a climate-controlled garage. It's the third owner who is selling it now after purchasing the vehicle in 2010. Despite a great deal of gentle care, there are still some items in need of attention.
A few small tears in the driver's seat and the stitching in the headliner is in need of some care. Some scratches are visible on the Cyclone decal on the rear quarter, and there's a spot on the nose that has been touched up. It needs just some minor work if you plan on making it a show car, but it's still a fantastic find nonetheless.
