Extremely Clean 1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 Will Bring Out the Fanboy in You
This is a 1999 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4. Along with cars like the Supra, RX-7, NSX, and a few others, it helped define the automotive culture throughout the '90s. It's incredibly well-kept—especially considering it's already 17-years old—and it's for sale on eBay, with a bid of $14,100 (per this writing). But what makes the 3000GT VR4 stand out from the typcial '90s crowd? Only 287 of this turbocharged, all-wheel-drive, two-door cars were produced and imported to the US. The example you see here is chassis #148, and was produced on April 1, 1999, at Mitsubishi's plant in Nagoya, Japan. The wheels, tires, and suspension aren't stock, but that's part of the charm. As the buyer states, it runs well with no issues or warning lights, and even has some new engine components. That includes NGK Platinum spark plugs, recently replaced valve cover gaskets, and a timing belt, water pump, tensioner, and crank pulley that were replaced with OEM parts this year. The seller also has documentation for over $4,000 in repairs and maintenance.
Not only is this Mitsubishi in great mechanical shape, it's in great physical shape too. The interior has light bolster wear, but no rips in the leather. Everything works and it's even smoke-free. The exterior remains pristine as well, without any major issues, only a few small blemishes, scuffs, and a paint bubble by the sunroof.
This car is pretty much the '90s epitomized—except now you can have it for real, and not just as a poster on your wall.
