Hardcore Vuhl 05RR Track Car to Debut at Goodwood
It's still a few weeks until the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed, but already a small company by the name of Vuhl (which we've covered before) has announced a big debut for the event. The follow-up to the current Vuhl 05 track car, the 05RR, will be making its debut at the event. And it will be even more hardcore than the original. This new Vuhl will be lighter, faster, and even more track-focused than its predecessor. It will be showing at Goodwood as part of a new category, Race Cars for the Road, which will be in the Michelin Supercar Paddock. Not only will the 05RR make its debut, it will also be making the famous hillclimb with GP2 driver and Formula 1 test driver Jordan King at the wheel. RELATED: See Images fo the 2014 Vuhl 05
Vuhl Technical Director, Iker Echeverria said, “I am so looking forward to returning to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this year, with our new 05RR car. We have upgraded all the car’s systems to make it faster, more engaging and even more track focused. We feel very close to the UK market, as around 50% of our componentry is developed and produced in Britain, and it is the place we debuted our first car.”
The 05RR is street legal but is designed for the track and performance enthusiast. Comfort options are available for those who want to take this on the street rather than the track.
