'Fast & Furious 8' Begins Filming in Cuba

The Fast & The Furious franchise is going strong with seven movies complete and three more contracted for filming. The eighth film is already shooting and this time they're on the streets of Cuba. Vin Diesel recently uploaded a video sharing a few scenes from Cuba and his excitement at being able to film in the country. He says that it's the first global Hollywood movie that's been allowed to film making it quite a historic moment. RELATED: See Images of the 1995 'Fast & Furious' Volkswagen Jetta
It's clear that the people of Cuba are as happy to have the movie filming there as the cast. It will be interesting to see how they make use of this new location. At the very least it should give us all a new crazy, impossible, fantastic car chase with some new scenery in the background. Even better are the old Cuban cars that will make an appearance. Cuban car culture is bright and vibrant, so giving it some screen time in Fast & Furious 8 will be something to see. The movie is currently set to hit theaters next April.
