First Photos from Cold Weather Testing Season
Here are for the first time photos of the new Peugeot 207 generation on the road during the first tests in the snow near the Arctic Circle in Northern Scandinavia.
The 207 is the next magic number in the French car maker’s Peugeot model range. It is an all new car to replace the successful Peugeot 206 which has been on the market since summer 1998. Until the beginning of 2004 it sold over 4 million units.
The future 207 – code named A 7 - is once again available as a three- and five door model with transversely mounted engines and front wheel drive. It is expected to be launched at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show. The matching wagon version is to come out some time later.
As to the styling, the new model adapts the front end styling of the 407 and will measure 14 cm more in overall length than the current 206. Power comes from fuel and diesel engines ranging from a 1,4 litre to a 2,0 litre performing 136 HP.
