David Beckham’s Old Ford F-150 is Up for Sale
Whether he’s cruising around London or out in Los Angeles, English soccer star David Beckham has long kept quite a luxurious array of cars to choose between—everything from posh Rolls Royces, to Bentley Continentals, and a luxe Range Rover or two. With those opulent rides in mind however, you might be surprised to learn that Beckham once owned a Ford F-150 pickup truck, in fact, this one. He has since sold the pickup, but now the Ford has resurfaced once again, and it will go up for auction in the UK on Saturday April 30th. Befitting its celebrity past, this isn’t your typical F-150. Instead, this is a 2002 Ford F-150 Harley-Davidson Edition, part of a model line which ran from 1999 all the way through 2012. RELATED: David Beckham Owned This Awesome Range Rover Sport
When the special Harley-Davidson Edition arrived in 1999, it brought with it sleek black exterior paint, orange accents, oversized 20-inch wheels, unique leather interior trim, and plenty of H-D badges—all applied to a two-wheel drive SuperCab. 2002 brought a welcome change to the series, however.
That year, Ford equipped its Harley trucks (now SuperCrew models) with 5.4-liter Triton V8s and a slightly detuned version of the supercharger found on the Ford F-150 SVT Lightning, which produced 340 horsepower and 425 lb.-ft. of torque (about 40 horses down on the contemporary SVT). The deep black exterior styling carried forward as did the big wheels, leather interior, and badges galore.
According to the auction listing, David Beckham is reported to be the original owner, having acquired it new in July 2002. Since then the listing notes there have been three other owners as well, with the car now showing just under 96,000 miles on the clock.
So how much will it take to own this piece of David Beckham automotive memorabilia? The auction estimates the footballer’s F-150 will gavel for between £10,000 to £12,000 (about $14,000 to $17,000).
