This Beautiful Custom Yamaha XS 400 Has our Hearts Aflutter
This simple and beautiful motorcycle is the work of Australian shop Ellaspede who built it for one of their customers, Dan, who loves the Yamaha XS 400. A 1977-spec model was discovered in a barn in northern Queensland and the idea for this custom job was hatched. Accoding to BikeExif, Dan wanted to combine the Japanese bobber style with its classic Yamaha looks so he sent a bunch of pictures off to Ellaspede and they got to work. They kept the stock tank, but modified the rear of the frame to include the same angles as that tank. A recessed taillight was also added to the frame. They gave the 392 cc parallel twin a rebuild using only Yamaha parts. There are oversized pistons along with new rods, valves, and bearings. The exhaust system is a 2-into-2 stainless design that takes the same angles as the frame.

The red and white paintjob was chosen to copy Yamaha speed block livery, but the colors are actually from Ducati. It's an incredible combination of bobber, classic, and cafe in one bike.
