Hyundai, Mini go for Big Names in Super Bowl 50 Ads
Some people watch the Super Bowl for the game, but a lot of people tune in for the ads. Commercials are ridiculously expensive to air during the Super Bowl, so companies spare no expense to make them something people will hopefully be talking about the next day. Hyundai and Mini are both betting that big name stars will make their ads a hit. Mini went with a whole bunch of celebrities for their Super Bowl ad. It will air during the third quarter and includes Serena Williams, Abby Wambach, T-Pain, Randy Johnson, Tony Hawk, and Harvey Keitel. The spot focuses on defying the labels placed on us all by society, and hopes you won't place labels on Mini before you have a chance to experience the brand yourself. Hyundai went all in with a single star, Ryan Reynolds, who appears in their ad over and over and over in a world turned into a Ryan Reynolds' fan fest. This ad will run in the second quarter of the game and is a humorous spot that focus on driver distraction.

As a world populated by multiple Ryan Reynolds' distracts the woman behind the wheel, auto emergency braking with pedestrian detection on the new Hyundai Elantra keeps one dog-walking Reynolds from becoming a hood ornament.
