Korean SsangYong Actyon Sport Truck for Sale on Craigslist
Here's something you don't see everyday. This is a SsangYong Actyon Sport, which is a short bed, crew cab pickup from Korea. In 2008, Phoenix Motorcars out of California brought 200 of them to the US with big plans that never materialized. They intended to give the SsangYong trucks electric motors and sell them for $50,000-$65,000 each, but they were too slow. By the time they were ready to sell, other manufacturers had come out with better technologies. This marked the end for Phoenix Motorcars. RELATED: See Images fo the 2006 SsangYong Actyon
They were left with a bunch of unfinished trucks without engines or transmissions and had to close up shop. The courts ordered all remaining inventory sold, and this one ended up in the hands of guy in New York. He's now selling it to someone who's ready for a little do-it-yourself project.

The SsangYong has an interior still sporting plastic wrap and has 4-wheel disc brakes, alloy wheels, heated wipers, and power seats. It's just missing a drivetrain in order to be road-worthy. It's currently up for sale on Craigslist with an asking price of $5,995. You'd be the only person on the street with such a truck, but you'd still have to find a way to power it and get it registered–both represent their own unique hurdles, so shop carefully!
