You Can Thank "Star Wars" for The "Spaceballs" Eagle 5 Winnebago
Star Wars: The Force Awakens broke all the records this weekend. It made a gajillion dollars and had people lining up and camping out so they could get the perfect seat in the theater. It was all about Han Solo, that walking carpet, and the Millennium Falcon. Let's not forget we have Star Wars to thank for the fantastic Eagle 5 in Spaceballs. Spaceballs wasn't sort of Star Wars, it was absolutely a parody of Star Wars and it had to have its own version of the Falcon to match. It was also a flying hunk of junk, but with a slightly different history. The Eagle 5 was a flying Winnebago complete with engines and wings to propel it through space or the atmosphere. You have to admit, a space-going motor home would be brilliant. One minute it could be zipping across the galaxy, avoiding Dark Helmet and trying to save Princess Vespa. The next, it could be cruising down the highway looking for the perfect site to camp for the night.

There's no way to buy a real Eagle 5, but if you'd like to have a miniature version sitting on your desk, eBay has you covered. You can buy a hand-sculpted wooden version of the ship for $224.88 and pretend you're Captain Lone Starr. And considering they are making a sequel to the original, called Spaceballs: The Search for More Money, this would be the ideal time to pick up a funny collectible like this!
