Cisitalia 202 SMM Spyder: The Brilliant Roadster You Didn't Know Existed
It's impossible to know every car that has ever been made, which means there are some real obscure gems you're missing. Case in point, this 1947 Cisitalia 202 SMM Spyder that will make you want to clean out your savings account and possibly sell your soul to the devil for a chance to put it in your driveway. According to Hemmings, it is one of the limited-edition production SMM competition models. These were patterned after a car driven by Tazio Nuvolari. This one doesn't have its original body, but instead has a hand-built replacement, which was part of an extensive restoration project.
It is one of only five 202 Sport chassis built, three of which received the Spyder Nuvolari designation. The exact numbers of 202 SMMs built is uncertain, but estimates hover around only 21, possibly a few more as they're uncovered in the wild. This very rare car can be yours right now for $745,000.
