After celebrating the start of production late last month, Nissan have now completed the launch of the all new 2009 Nissan Maxima by announcing the pricing will start at $29,290 (MSRP) for the base Maxima 3.5 S model and $31,990 for the Maxima 3.5 SV which includes a sports package.

The Nissan D platform is hiding below that stylish posterior which is also used for the second generation Murano and fourth generation Altima. Under the hood we find a revised version of the previous generation's 3.5-liter V6 power unit producing 290hp and 261 lb-ft of torque.

Some may not believe it, but when the Nissan Maxima was unveiled at the New York Auto Show earlier this year it was quite literally the star of the show if our statistics were anything to go by and the pricing is surely to please punters with more than $400 more value than the 2008 model.
