Charger Hellcat Gets Mid-Muffler Delete, Sounds Insane

We’ve covered the Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcat quite a bit here on BoldRide, and that’s because we absolutely love the 707 horsepower, rear-wheel drive monster machines. In fact, the Charger Hellcat was our BoldRide of the Year last year. However, it never crossed our minds that the Hellcat motor was too quiet. Thankfully, there was one deaf awesome owner, who goes by the name @Sinister_hellcat on Instagram who saw fit to remove the mid-mufflers on their Charger Hellcat. The result are shall we say, loud. Extremely loud in fact. If the stock Charger Hellcat was close to a dystopian soundtrack, this car has gone full on Mad Max Fury Road. We wonder if the owner sprays silver paint into its grill to get even more ferocious. The Hellcat Charger in the video doesn’t sound as crackly as a Jaguar F-Type R, as we would have imagined. It’s just noise, and more noise. It sounds a pissed off NASCAR racecar, except with glorious supercharger whine. We still love it. While we can’t hear what it really sounds like inside the cabin of the car since the microphone was hooked up right near the exhaust, we imagine that it would be fairly loud. It sounds definitely loud enough to make you go hard of hearing after a long drive or a spirited track session. Would any of you ever remove the mufflers off the Charger Hellcat?
