Clint Eastwood's Son Bought a Ford F-150, Wants You to Buy American
Celebrity endorsements matter. It's the reason companies that make everything from clothes to food to cars are willing to pay huge sums of money to have the right celebrities pimping their products. Every now and then a company gets lucky and doesn't need to pay a celebrity or sign any kind of deal. That's what recently happened when Clint Eastwood's son bought a shiny new Ford F-150. He bought his new Ford truck and immediately took to social media to talk about his purchase. Instead of what we usually see from celebrities, which is often talk about how much they spent, how fast their new ride is, and what they have planned for custom work to make it the center of attention, Scott Eastwood took a different approach. He chose to wax poetic about the importance of supporting the country and buying American. RELATED: See the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor
The Ford F-150 is about as American as you can get and it has the sales numbers as proof. It has been the best-selling vehicle in the United States for the past 32 years and the best-selling pickup for 43 years. Let there be no doubt that America has a love affair with trucks.
Scott may not have signed a deal with Ford, but we bet the folks there are all giving each other high-fives over this little marketing coup. According to AutoEvolution, Scott has 860,000 followers on Instagram alone and it's a safe bet at least a few will take his message to heart.
